We was called by a lovely lady from alderley who asked us if we could restore her lovely Indian stone floor in alderley edge Cheshire.
Our eyes lit up when we saw the floor, Very dirty. It was a farm house, well she worked with horses so in and out every day with riding boots on was the norm. To be honest, its what these floors were designed for but they still need stripping back and restoring every now and again Well she’d chosen the right company, we love these types of floors and restoring them is a passion. see the photos below to see how we got on. After wetting the floor first we then applied a high end stripping solution to begin the break up of the ingrained soils. once we’d allowed it to dwell we started with the machinery to scrub deep into the stone and then using a special tool, jet washed the residue and extracted it all back to the van, some areas needed a repeat of the above until we were satisfied we had gotten all the soiling out and the stone was back to its original beautiful self, fantastic colours and fossils started to appear and the difference was beyond exceptional. Even the lady of the house thought she’d got the wrong address (jokingly) when she walked in.
. We then proceeded to dry the floor ready for the sealing, we used a solvent based impregnating sealer that soaks into the stone, sets, and this stops anything else getting in there like spills from drinks and food spillage etc. leaving the floor very easy to maintain. All went well with the job and we, and the customer were extremely happy with the end result. Bring on the next Indian stone floor. We just love them and the dirtier the better. Arcadia cleaners have a passion, exploit it and use our services, You won’t be disappointed.
